BTC (Belgian Technical Cooperation)
The Belgian Technical Cooperation is the implementing partner of the programs of the Belgian Cooperation. As a public service provider, and on behalf of the Federal Public Service of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, BTC supports developing countries in their fight against poverty.
The BTC-office for Mozambique falls under the authority of the Resident Representative in South Africa Mr. Tom Smiss.
BTC-Mozambique has a local representative (Mr. Agy Mamunune) and a local office in Maputo. All payments, contracts etc will go through BTC.
BTC worldwide also provides services on behalf of other national and international organisations contributing to sustainable human development.
BTC is managing more than 200 programs in 30 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. With a turnover in 2007 of 213 million euro, BTC is employing 420 staff, 160 of them at headquarters in Brussels and 260 in countries where projects and programmes are being implemented. BTC has 23 representations abroad.
