Conflict Prevention/Demining

The Belgian Cooperation has been supporting Demining operations in Mozambique since 2006 with the following programmes:

  • Support to the ADP (Accelerated Demining Program) through UNDP

800.000 Euro for the period 2005-2007

  • APOPO-programme : The Belgian NGO APOPO is doing demining operations by using vapour detection of African Giant RATS

Belgian Support to this programme amounts to 500.000 Euro in 2007 and 500.000 Euro in 2008.
